I am excited to see how the functionalities of chatbots are going to develop in the next few years. There has been, at least from my observations, a bit of a delay in the development as a result of missed (or failed) expectations that came as a result of the early deployment of chatbots in many industries, when their development was just not as advanced as people expected. I hope the comeback of chatbots moves them closer to assistants instead of bots.
